iPhone 7 Specs, Features, Release Date Rumors: New Force Touch Display Detects Finger Contact Area, Not Pressure?

After the obvious success of Apple's iPhone 6 and 6 Plus in 2014, rumors are now starting to surface claiming that the new smartphone for 2015 will be the iPhone 7. However, there are some techies still suggesting that it will be iPhone 6s.

While waiting for Apple's confirmation about all the confusion as to whether the next smartphone will be iPhone 7 or 6s, reports claim that the upcoming gadget will be featuring some pretty high tech things both in its software and hardware.

Of course there is no other way but to improve whatever the company has previously produced. The new smartphone is reportedly going to have a Force Touch Display. This is according to a well-respected analyst from KGI Securities, Ming-Chi Kuo.

Kuo reportedly said that the new feature rumored to be included in the upcoming smartphone will be a whole lot different than the previous products of Apple, like the Apple Watch and the latest MacBook. According to reports, the said new feature works in a very high tech manner that instead of actually detecting how much pressure you apply with your finger, the display feature will determine how much pressure you're applying through measuring the contact area of your finger.

All this of course is still up for confirmation by the company itself and until now, there is no concrete evidence or statement that would either confirm or deny the claims made by several analysts and several news agencies. But one thing is for sure, Apple, being one of the leading tech companies, will surely release something new for its loyal fans soon.
