iPad Pro Release Rumors, News: Will Apple Launch the Giant Tablet-Laptop Hybrid in November?

While the rumor mill has been somewhat silent on the iPad Pro, the purported large-size tablet-laptop from hybrid from Apple Inc., Taiwanese tech publication DigiTimes recently reported that the device is likely to be launched in mid-November.

Quoting 9to5Mac, Christian Today reports that the release schedule makes total sense considering the release patterns of Apple. In fact, the Cupertino-based tech titan has a tendency to always announce new iPad versions sometime around October, just ahead of the devices being available in the market.

Citing an anonymous supplier chain, which will reportedly begin supplying components for the humongous tablet from late September, DigiTimes reported that Foxconn Electronics will be manufacturing the iPad Pro. In other words, Foxconn will be putting the device together.

The Taiwanese tech website further stated that there will only a limited number of iPad Pro units will be made available during the first release of the device, as it is reported that the company is not only unsure about its potential demand, but is also unable to estimate the demand for the machine which is starting a brand new lineup for the Apple.

According to DigiTimes, the low volume of orders is also dictated by the declining demand for tablets as well as iPads and the popularity of 5-inch smartphones. Therefore, Apple wants to be sure that it does not produce an excessive number of iPad Pro units, but prefer to sell them out than to overstock.

Meanwhile, Phone Arena reported that Apple has begun developing an iPad Pro type of product back in 2013, but there was poor demand for that kind of machine then. However, now the company seems to be ready to show it off.

According to latest rumors, the iPad Pro will sport a 12.9-inch (2048 x 2732 pixels) display at 264 ppi, similar to that of the iPad Air 2. In addition, the device will incorporate features like pressure sensitivity, Touch ID, Force Touch, a USB Type-C port, as well as a built-in NFC chip. The device is also expected to offer 2 GB of RAM and an A9 processor for ultimate computing power.

Even as Apple is yet to confirm the existence of the iPad Pro, a piece of evidence drawn from the iOS 9 beta suggests that the company will be introducing it soon. MacRumors quotes iPhone software developer Steven Troughton-Smith saying that the iOS 9 keyboard will be able to scale to a larger size with re-positioned keys.
