Husband and wife duo The Gray Havens, comprised of Dave and Licia Radford, have released their latest single "Forever" which you can listen to at the end of this article. The new song is a cut from their highly anticipated full-length album, currently named She Waits, and expected to release later this year, with the album's title track releasing as a single earlier this year.
The Nashville-based duo's most recent album release, the 2016 Ghost of a King, debuted at No. 3 on the iTunes singer-songwriter charts and was produced by Ben Shive following a successful fundraising campaign on Kickstarter.
For their upcoming project, as well as last year's live album Ghost of a King (Live) and the new children's book "Gray Flowers," The Gray Havens managed to create an even more successful Kickstarter campaign, garnering incredible support from friends and followers to help offset the costs associated with the album and book releases.
The Gray Havens, who trace their beginning back to 2013, describes themselves as a "narrative pop-folk duo," referring to the story-telling musical style they employ on all their recordings. According to a biography on the group's website, their projects have been hailed as "an imaginative treatment of faith [having] a visionary quality that's both playful and enraptured."
With their narrative style, the duo has become known for a listening experience similar to making your way through your favorite book, to a backdrop of richly textured compositions and multi-layered lyrics. Releasing their debut EP on Noisetrade in 2013, and their first full-length album, Fire and Stone, in 2015, the duo has gained a steady following of listeners nationwide.
The Gray Havens are currently scheduled to perform at a number of events throughout the summer, with full dates and information available on their official website. The new single, "Forever," is available to stream or download everywhere now.
