The release date of "Hunter x Hunter" chapter 361 remains unknown due to Yoshihiro Togashi's health issues but fans are hoping that the manga series will be back soon. The author of the series took a break from writing after experiencing severe lower back pains.

There are speculations that due to Togashi's health condition, Viz Media will cut ties with the author so he can focus on his recovery. Some theories also claim that the comic publication may employ the services of other writers to continue the manga series and have him reassigned to do another project which will not interfere with his recovery.

According to Movie News Guide, Viz Media is already hiring writers to replace Togashi. However, the series creator did not like the ideas that they pitched so Shueisha reportedly decided to just push back the release of chapter 361. Some sources claim that the new chapter will be released in February 2017, based on the timeline of when the preceding chapters were released.

In the most recent chapter titled "Parasite" which was released back in July, Kurapika set out on a quest to find out the culprit behind the deaths in Black Whale. Fans speculate that in chapter 361, Kurapika and the Nen Beast will have a fight scene. The new chapter is also expected to focus on Kurapika's investigation.

Some fans also predict that the last chapter that Togashi wrote will be the final one for the manga series, but that has yet to be confirmed. If Togashi's health gets better soon, chapter 361 may be released in the first quarter of next year.
