Huawei Honor 6X Release Date, Specs, Price: Device Shipping Starts On Oct. 18

The Huawei Honor 6X release date has been confirmed to be coming on Oct. 18, which is already next week. The replacement to the Honor 5X is touted to be a mid-range phone that features high-end specs.

There's no official US price tag for the Huawei Honor 6X just yet, although it will first be launched in china first at a recommended retail price of Rs 12,999, according to the report. That would put it at less than $200, the same price as the 5X.

The Huawei Honor 6X specs include a 5.5-inch HD display, two 3GB RAMs, Snapdragon 625, fingerprint scanner, USB Type-C port, 32GB internal storage which is expandable through the microSD slot, two 12 MP cameras at the back and can run on 3,340 mAh juice.

For now, there's no report about the OS that will come with the Huawei Honor 6X during its release date, but it's more than likely that it will still be running the Android Marshmallow. If the Nougat will come to Huawei, it would be on the P9 or Honor 8 first.

Android Authority said no report on whether the Leica lens would be included in the Huawei Honor 6X specs. However, one thing it's got that other phones in the company lineup don't have is the dual rear camera. That feature is only found on the Honor 8 and the P9, both high end phones. The main camera is reportedly 5 MP.
