House of Cards Season 2 / Netflix Web Series Recieves Nine Emmy Nominations / House of Cards Season 2 News and Premiere Date

Web series House of Cards is making its way into its second season.  The Netflix web series received the first PrimeTime Emmy Award nomination in 2013, but for those of you who are unfamiliar with the series, here is brief synopsis;

In present day Washington, D.C. Frank Underwood, played by Kevin Spacey, is a Democrat from South Carolina's congressional district. After not getting the vote to be appointed as the Secretary of State, Underwood decides to take matters into his own hands and seek revenge on whoever betrayed him.

House of Cards have received nine Emmy nominatons, the only TV series that has its plateau based on the internet. During an interview with NBC News , Netflix's CEO said,

 "What they have seen here is an initiative that started not very long ago, and that has had pop culture success and critical success. The next shoe to drop was the credibility that came from the Emmy nominations. People know this is not a one-off now. It attracts people who are attracted to forward momentum."

With the first season receiving such positive reviews and feedback from viewers and critics and not to mention scoring 76 out of 100 on Metacritic based on 25 critics and a user score of 9.0 based on 350 ratings. There is no doubt in my mind that House of Cards second season is destined for greatness.

So what can viewers expect from the second season? For starters, there will be a new location, the historic court house of Baltimore County in Baltimore, Maryland. As for the ultimate spoiler, there is no official launch date of when the web series will start its second season of online streaming, but it will be sometime in 2014.

Stay tuned for more news and updates.
