'House of Cards' Season 2 Confirmed, Details Leaked By Executive Producer Via Twitter [VIDEO]

Netflix's original series House of Cards just signed on for Season 2, though no official details have been confirmed. Executive producer Beau Willimon surprised a couple House of Cards fans by responding to a tweet saying they are already in production for the next season.

Willimon replied, "Story-lines for season two are ALREADY mapped out. Now we're outlining individual eps and writing scripts."

Willimon indulged the Twittersphere by replying to another Cards fan that same day.

@mirrormask313 asked the EP, "do you prefer that everything is scripted before filming or are you happy with improv?"

Willimon confessed: "Need to have a good sense of what we're shooting because our sched is tight. But we do revise text in rehearsal sometimes."

Though House of Cards Season 2 has no official premiere date, chances are Netflix will hold off until similar dramas like Breaking Bad (which airs this summer) and Mad Men conclude, not to interfere with shared audiences.

Another Netflix show, Arrested Development will soon be released in the same "all-at-once" format that proved to be so successful for House of Cards, despite many doubters. Netflix will most likely wait for all three shows to end to make sure they get all of the pie instead of just a slice.

Earlier this week Amazon opened up for pre-orders of House of Cards Season 1 DVD and Blu-Ray. The first season will be released in stores June 11th 2013.
