Hispanic church leader Samuel Rodriguez is releasing his new book "Shake Free: How To Deal with the Storms, Shipwrecks, and Snakes in Your Life" on May 22 and is available for pre-order now. In "Shake Free," Rodriguez uses the example of the Apostle Paul's near-catastrophic shipwreck, as recorded in the Book of Acts, chapter 27 to 28, and illustrates how to "shake off" problems and disasters in life and move forward to "new health and wholeness."

"God makes wonderful things in our life come from our broken pieces," says Rodriguez. "Because of Christ in our life, we have the power to shake off fear, rejection, and failure-just like Paul later shook off the viper that should have killed him."

The author goes on to say in a press release that, "when we encounter trials in our life, we are usually driven by the past or the future, the pathetic or prophetic, nightmares or dreams, the flesh or the Spirit, etc." Rodriguez hopes to show readers that what seems like your worst defeat will emerge as your greatest victory.

Rodriguez is the president of the National Hispanic Christian Leadership Conference (NHCLC), which consists of 500,000 evangelical churches and is the largest Hispanic Christian organization in the world. He is also the Senior Pastor of New Season Church in Sacramento, Calif., and in 2017 became the first Hispanic pastor to offer a prayer at a U.S. inaugural ceremony.

"Shake Free" contains forewords by Brian Houston, Hillsong Founder and Global Senior Pastor, and early reviews by fellow Christian leaders such as Dr. Ronnie Floyd, DeVon Franklin, Robert Morris and more, lift up the book as an encouragement to believers everywhere, challenging readers to break free from their insecurities and pursue God's plan.
