Hercules: The Legend Begins Movie 2014 Cast and Characters: Trailer Reveals Kellan Lutz as Hercules / Release Date for Summer 2014 [VIDEO]

The first trailer for Hercules: The Legend Begins premiered at the New York Comic Con and it revealed that Kellan Lutz (Twilight) will play Hercules. The trailer didn't reveal many other cast or characters and mainly just featured Lutz charging into battle with his shirt off. The movie promises to be filled with love and war, considering the origin story of Hercules surrounds his attempt to win back his lady-love from his brother.

There is another Hercules movie that is starring Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson that will be coming out around the same time as Hercules: The Legend Begins. Both films promise to be action packed, but so far the Hercules movie with The Rock hasn't entered production yet.

The synopsis for Hercules: The Legend Begins is as follows:

"In Ancient Greece 1200 B.C., a queen succumbs to the lust of Zeus to bear a son promised to overthrow the tyrannical rule of the king and restore peace to a land in hardship. But this prince, Hercules, knows nothing of his real identity or his destiny. He desires only one thing: the love of Hebe, Princess of Crete, who has been promised to his own brother. When Hercules learns of his greater purpose, he must choose: to flee with his true love or to fulfill his destiny and become the true hero of his time.
