Last night we finally learned who Agent Warren Knox really is. His real name is Jim Tolliver and he a former law school friend of J. Edgar Hoover who was appointed as the director of the Bureau of Investigations.

People had their suspicions of Agent Knox, Nucky and Eli Thompson to be exact. Corrupt Government official, Gaston Means is unable to give Nucky and Eli justification as to why their contact at the Treasury Department has retired.

Means continues to avoid jail time by following Agent Knox's orders to act as if he is working for Nucky. Hoover, desperate to impress the attorney general, takes credit for Knox's operation of targeting the national network of organized crime, which Nucky is the star of.

Back in Princeton, guilt is still eating Willie Thompson alive after killing his classmate Henry and letting his roommate Clayton take the fall. Thompson's conscience is too much for him to handle as his professor discusses a short story by Edgar Allen Poe about doubles. He takes off out of the classroom and later tells Eli that he won't be going back to Princeton. Eli doesn't take Thompson's news too well and begins to hit him and Nucky walks in on the commotion.

Eli is later drunk and confronts Nucky about stepping in between him and his son's personal issues. Eli hits Nucky with a low blow, exposing information about Nucky's first wife Mabel. Eli says, "Mabel died trying to give you a son."

Chalky White is being black-balled by Daughter Maitland. After getting Valentin Narcisse to add another month to her contract at the club White agrees to let him open a chapter of Universal Negro Improvement Association in Atlantic City.

Daughter is seen wiping Valentin's when he asks her if White is satisfied with her. This is a clear case of White being a sucker for love. Dunn Purnsley is also one-up on White. He murders a local deacon after the deacon threatens to tell White that he's the one selling heroin in the community, which Valentin is supplying him with.

Meanwhile in Chicago, Johnny Torrio strikes a deal with Dean O'Banion, agreeing to buy a brewery from O'Banion in exchange for assistance in locking in local elections in Cicero. As soon as Johnny gives O'Banion his john hancock, police bust in and arrest him. Johnny has a rap sheet filled with alcohol related charges and this arrest for owning a building full of alcohol will be added to it.

O'Banion's disloyalty to Johnny may have cost him head because he accepted an order from Al Capone to kill O'Banion and Capone believes that O'Banion has something to do with his brother Frank's death.
