'Hawaii Five-0' Season 5 Cast Rumors: Michelle Borth Out, Amanda Setton In

CBS's 'Hawii Five-0', is setting up for its fifth season, and with that, a new character on the show has recently been announced. 'Lost' star William Mapother will play a guest role on the show as Eric Porter, an affluent entrepreneur who finds himself trapped in an unfortunate situation.

Mapother is the 9th 'Lost' alumni to be adopted by the crime-action drama show, following the footsteps of Henry Ian Cusick, Sam Anderson, Daniel Dae Kim, François Chau, Terry O'Quinn, Jorge Garcia and Tania Raymonde.

According to reports, Mapother's character, Porter, will be working closely with the authorities in the forthcoming 'Hawaii Five-0' season.

Beyond new cast members, CBS has announced that one of the show's regular cast members will not be returning. Michelle Borth, who played Catherine Bollins on the show, will not be in any future productions of 'Hawaii Five-0'. The reasons for her departure have not yet been disclosed.

On a positive note, 'Gossip Girl' actress Amanda Setton, has been confirmed for the role of Dr. Mindy Shaw for the latest installment. The new character is said to be a trainee of Dr. Max Bergman, played by Masi Oka. While Bergman is the medical examiner in the series, Shaw will be a brilliant young woman who shows much passion for her line of work.

'Hawaii Five-0' Season 5 is set to premiere on September 26th of this year.
