'Halo 5: Forge' News & Update: Players Able To Create New Maps And Game Modes On PC

Along with details on controls and visuals, Microsoft has brought players the power to create maps and game modes in "Halo 5: Forge."

According to Halo Way Point, "Halo 5: Forge" allows players to either customize existing maps or create their own from scratch, opening the gates for "Halo 5: Guardians" and others.

Microsoft's free "Halo" mapmaking tool for Windows 10 also lets players to create their own levels and battle their friends in online 16-player matches and they can do so for free, as per Digital Trends. According to the publication, players need to host of join premade lobbies for them to play with others.

Multiplayer matchmaking is set to be unveiled in the future, since "Halo 5: Forge" for Windows 10 does not support the players' ability to look for ongoing matches at the moment.

With the free Windows 10 app, amateur players and map designers can also share online their custom levels; also, the imported maps can be obtained in "Halo 5: Guardians" for the Xbox One.

In a statement, 343 Industries said that there was plenty of chance that "Halo 5" could appear on the PC. As per the report, the studio is yet to confirm whether it will produce a full "Halo 5: Guardians" Windows 10 port. Microsoft recently mentioned connecting Windows 10 and Xbox One first-party releases, but it retracted its move, along with the removal of "Dead Rising 4" from the line-up.

According to PC Gamer, "Halo 5: Forge" features satisfactory controls and graphics. The website reports that the mouse acceleration and smoothing is adjustable, in addition to the raw input, sensitivity, and controls for machinima makers. In terms of visuals, the game runs at a locked 60 fps, which is considered great for the game.
