Hallmark Channel's annual "Countdown to Christmas" has started once again and more holiday movies are set to air this December.

The "Countdown to Christmas" started on Nov. 1 with "Tis the Season for Love," according to International Business Times. The show starred Sarah Lancaster and Brendan Penny and it was reportedly followed by two holiday films each weekend.

"Just in Time for Christmas" aired on Dec. 5 on Hallmark Channel. It centered on a young psychology professor who was left with no choice but to choose between a lifetime opportunity and true love. With the help of a Coachman, along with the Yuletide magic, her choice becomes more defined. It starred Christopher Lloyd, William Shatner, Michael Stahl David, and Eloise Mumford, among others.

"Karen Kingsbury's The Bridge" aired on Dec. 6. It followed the story of two friends whose relationship had to go through tough trials. It starred Faith Ford, Ted McGinley, Wyatt Nash, and Katie Findlay, among others.

"On the Twelfth Day of Christmas" is about Maggie, who learns that her longtime crush Mitch has lost his love of Christmas after he moves to town. To bring back Mitch's love for the season, Maggie gives him twelve special gifts, which also deepens their relationship. Starring Robin Dunne and Brooke Nevin, the show is slated to air on Dec. 12.

"A Christmas Melody" is set to air on Dec. 19. It centers on talented designer and divorcee Kristin and her old rival from school, Melissa. Kristin faces some hardships, which force her to close her shop and stay with her parents. On the other hand, Melissa is set to make her life more miserable. A change in events begins when Kristin is able to contact a friend who helps her find a place in Ohio. The show stars Lacey Chabert and Mariah Carey.

Lastly, "Christmas Land" follows Jules, who inherits a Christmas tree farm. She decides to sell it for profit. As she re-examines the farm, she finds herself interested to the place and its people, along with meeting a young lawyer named Tucker. Starring Nikki DeLoach and Luke MacFarlane, "Christmas Land" airs on Dec. 20.

In an interview with Variety, Crown Media Family Networks Executive Vice President Michelle Vicary said that this year, they had doubled down on their programming efforts and had rolled out original holiday premieres for five consecutive nights, starting on the Wednesday before Thanksgiving.

For Vicary, the Thanksgiving Weekend Event had brought "Countdown to Christmas" to a whole new level by providing more of what the audience wanted during the pivotal time of the year.
