'Guardians of the Galaxy' Star Chris Pratt Reveals His Son 'Restored' His 'Faith in God' After Coma Scare (VIDEO)

Actor Chris Pratt and his wife, actress Anna Faris underwent a great scare when their son was born premature and fell into a coma two years ago. However, he miraculously recovered and the 'Guardians of the Galaxy' star says the experience "redefined" his faith in God.

In a recent interview with People, the actor expressed that he and Faris were both on the same page when they considered having a baby, "It started [for us] around the same time, and I don't think one of us wanted it any more than the other," Pratt, said of about the pregnancy, "She would say, 'How do you feel about that?' and I would say, '...I've been kind of thinking about that too! I think that'd be cool. Let's make that happen.'"

Their son, Jack, was born in August of 2012, but was nine weeks premature and the concerned parents felt helpless, "We were scared for a long time. We prayed a lot," Pratt confessed. The parents prayed while little Jack spent a month in intensive care.

"It restored my faith in God, not that it needed to be restored, but it really redefined it," the actor continued, "The baby was so beautiful to us, and I look back at the photos of him and it must have been jarring for other people to come in and see him, but to us he was so beautiful and perfect."

Jack is now almost two-years-old and his dad calls him "a fighter."

"He's amazing," Pratt told the publication while laughing, "He's so open and there's no fear in him no matter what. He is so charming that my plan is to just let him take care of us as soon as he's old enough."
