'Guardians of the Galaxy 2' Sequel News: Marvel Studios President Accidentally Reveals Sequel Title

It seems that Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige accidentally revealed the title of the next 'Guardians of the Galaxy' sequel during one of his recent interviews.

Christian Today reports that it seems Feige revealed the title of the movie unintentionally while talking about the movie's filming schedule during an interview with Steve "Frosty" Weintraub, the editor-in-chief of Collider, at the press panel of Marve's forthcoming film 'Ant-Man.'

Feige tol Weintraub, "We start shooting 'Guardians of the Galaxy' Volume 2 in February-March 2016."

Later, the Collider chief editor confirmed to Feige if he had just mentioned the official title of the sequel, but it seemed that Feige realized his mistakes by then and refused to give a clear answer. However, the writers from Collider have sharp memories, because they remember that the title of the well-known mix tape owned by Star-Lord (Chris Pratt) in the first movie is titled 'Peter Quill's Awesome Mix Vol.1.'

Some time afterward, 'Guardians of the Galaxy' director James Gunn substantiated in his Twitter account that 'Guardians of the Galaxy Vol.2' will certainly be the official title of the upcoming sequel.

Referring to the title slip, Gunn further statedal in his Facebook account, saying, "Kevin Feige recently let the title slip while doing Ant-Man press, which I'm really happy about because God knows I've let more than one thing slip accidentally while chattering away on this FB page. Also, hats off to some intrepid fans who figured out the title a couple of days after I posted the cover page. More than one person guessed 'Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2' - I wanted so badly to give you props at the time, but knew I had to wait."

The report says that being a witty person, Gunn also made fun of Feige's unintended information slip at the end of his post.

'Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2' will hit the theaters on May 5, 2017.
