‘Grimm’ Season 4 Spoilers: Captain Renard Not Dead, New Wesen Creatures to be Introduced in New Season

The cast and creators of 'Grimm' revealed what viewers can expect from Season 4 of the hit show at last week's Comic-Con in San Diego. Fans of the show were left with a major cliff-hanger as Monroe and Rosalee's wedding was disrupted, Nick Burkhardt lost his powers, and Captain Renard was killed.

Sasha Roiz revealed that Captain Renard is not "really" dead and that fans should expect his return to the show next season, but he wouldn't blame the writers if they decided to kill off the character once and for all.

"I wouldn't have faulted [the writers] if they said, "That's the end of you," cause I know that makes good television." Roiz added, "I think we're going to try to find some sort of interesting way to bring him back to life."

Executive producer Jim Kouf also admitted that the writers have a tendency to get stuck in a box, as shown by the wedding, Nick losing his powers, and the new Grimm (Trubel), who will return in Season 4.

In an interview with Entertainment Weekly, Kouf said, "We keep writing ourselves into corners, and then we have to figure out how to get out of them."

Director Norberto Barda added, "I just remember thinking that this season went from zombie apocalypse to wedding. One was not harder to do than the other, they were just different."

Meanwhile, Executive producer David Greenwalt said that new Wesen creatures will be introduced to the show, including one that is similar to an octopus-headed man.

"We're going to see some great new ones next season," said Greenwalt.

"Grimm' Season 4 will premiere on NBC on Oct. 24.
