'Gotham' Premiere Live Stream, Fox Start Time, Spoilers: Sneak Peek Shows Gordon Meeting Penguin

One of the most anticipated new television series this Fall, 'Gotham', will premiere on Fox at 8.00 pm. ET on Monday, Sept. 22.

While Batman fans are eagerly awaiting the premiere, they ought to know that the series is not about the modern day popular version of the superhero. This time around, fans should look at this series as a somewhat of a prequel.

Fox has already released a sneak peak for the first episode of the show. Season 1 of 'Gotham' will follow the career of Commissioner James Gordon, right from the time he starts working as a detective. Fans will see him dealing the case of Bruce Wayne's parents' death. The series will also show the beginning of some notorious villains - the Penguin.

The trailer of 'Gotham' shows Gordon meeting Fish Mooney, a club owner in Gotham and the new detective inquires why he heard screaming. In response, Fish Mooney slyly says that the boys are watching a horror movie.

Gordon does not seem to be convinced, and asks, "Really?"

So Fish Mooney changes his version, saying, "No, actually one of my staff has been stealing money from me." He adds, "So we're beating his punk a--."

Suspecting something, Gordon goes out back to discover four men thrashing an employee of Fish Mooney. Despite being the smallest of the group, Oswald Cobblepot is seen using a bat for the occasion, while the other bigger men tell him to calm down.

One man says, "Take it easy, Penguin." In response, Oswald says, "You know I don't like to be called that."

Gordon interrupts them at this juncture and tells Oswald to drop the bat. Oswald obliges Gordon, but the men say they are just having fun. From all this it appears that the criminals in Gotham City are not too scared of the police. In fact, there is lots of corruption going on in the Gotham City PD.
