'God's Not Dead' Movie Facebook Page Filled with Inappropriate Content After Pure Flix Wide Social Media Hack

Gods not dead Movie

Earlier this week Pure Flix Entertainment, the company behind "God's Not Dead," "Old Fashioned," and countless other forms of Christian media, suffered from a social media hack where objectionable material was posted throughout the day.

The film company has since rectified the situation and posted the below message to their audience:

"As you have noticed if you've been on Facebook today, Pure Flix and many of our movie pages have been hacked. This was a well-planned attack. Not only have they posted inappropriate and offensive content, they also removed our ability to control or delete any of the content they have posted.

We are sorry for all of this and apologize to any of you who have seen content that is inappropriate. We appreciate your prayers as we look to right this situation. And we ask for your grace as we work directly with high-level Facebook leaders to resolve this.

As we make a daily commitment to create entertainment that can change our culture for Christ, one heart at a time, we understand that this is an attack by the enemy.

Our prayer is for God to use this as a way to bring glory to himself. We hold to what Joseph says in Genesis 50:20, "You intended to harm me, but God intended it for good to accomplish what is now being done, the saving of many lives."

We ask that you continue to stand with us as we move forward and stand firm in what God has called us to do!

Thanks for your continued support,
The Pure Flix Team"
