SBS MTV aired Girl's Day's first solo concert on July 23 as a special for the program "The Show'. The concert aims to promote the group's recent comeback as they sing covers of some of K-pop's best girl group hits.

Girl's Day performed some of their biggest hits to date, including "Twinkle, Twinkle", "Female President", "Expectation", "Something", and their latest summer hit, "Darling".

The popular girl group also performed a compilation of songs from other girl groups, such as "I Am the Best" by 2NE1, "Gee" by Girls' Generation, "Mister" by Kara, and "Nobody" by Wonder Girls.

Meanwhile, Girl's Day member Sojin is starting her acting career in a new drama. Sojin has been cast for the upcoming drama for TV Chosun's "The Greatest Marriage' as a prominent character. The show is about people who want to have kids, but don't want to get married.

Sojin will be playing the part of Lee Yuri, described as a recent college graduate who was born with a silver spoon in her mouth, and has a fun personality is attractive. She treats her cousin Hyunmyoung as if she was her own personal maid, but still listens to her problems and helps her solve them. Sojin hopes that her success with Girl's Day will translate to her acting career.

Recently, the group found a resurgence in popularity as they traded in their cute and sweet image for a risque one last year. Back in January, the girl group was the subject of a controversy as their single, "Something" was arguably their sultriest, prompting TV broadcasters to ask them to tone down the choreography.
