'Game of Thrones' Season 6 Release Date, Trailer: Jaime, Cersei’s Bond Rises to Weirder Level

Jaime and Cersei's dynamics is set to rise to a weirder level in "Game of Thrones" season 6, according to series actress Lena Headey. Also, creator David Benioff revealed that the season was the best yet.

Headey plays Cersei's role in HBO's hit television series "Game of Thrones." In her interview with Entertainment Weekly, the actress said that her character's relationship with Jaime was at an "all-time weird level," adding that it was juice and dark.

In the same interview, the actress also revealed what fans could expect from her character's story arc in "Game of Thrones" season 6. She said that it was probably Cersei's most interesting season, adding that she really had nothing to lose and she had everything to gain from a horrible position she found herself in.

"Game of Thrones" creators Dan Weiss and Benioff also mentioned that the season 6 is set to be the best installment of the HBO series. In another interview with Entertainment Weekly, Benioff said that he and Weiss talked about the whole season a lot, adding that they were not trying to hype it.

According to Benioff, there was an episode or two that they were kind of nervous about, as they had not turned out as well as they had hoped. However, the series creator clarified that there was not a weak episode in "Game of Thrones" season 6. He mentioned that they had had great directors who had known what they had been doing, along with excellent photography directors. Benioff also said that the script stage might be their strongest.

For Benioff, he and Weiss were always doubtful to say that season 6 was the best season yet, since so much of that was in the eyes of the beholder. However, he viewed the season as the best one they had done and he was proud because it had been the hardest.

"Game of Thrones" is set to return on Apr. 24 on HBO. Watch the red band trailer here.
