Freedom from Religion Foundation (FFRF) recently announced plans to handout material to several public schools that display a Bible-man touching a woman inappropriately in hopes to promote an anti-religion agenda.

According to FFRF, the pamphlets are meant to expose what they call inappropriate content in the Bible within Orange County, Florida, on January 16 on National Religious Freedom Day. The materials will mention the parts in the Bible where sexual activity, nudity, and circumcision are mentioned.

One particular pamphlet, titled "An X-Rated Book: Sex and Obscenity in the Bible," portrays a Bible with a face, arms and legs reaching its hands up the skirt of a woman. The offensive image can be seen here and has been cropped as the cover photo for the article.

Legal Council Andrew Seidel for the FFRF explained their motive to CNS News.

"I think if you look at the content of that brochure and what is actually in the Bible, and some of the things that are in the Bible in terms of sex and compare that to the cover [of the pamphlet], the cover is pretty tame compared to anything that is in the Bible," he told CNS, "I think the bottom line is, you can't consider any of our materials obscene when compared to the Bible."

Seidel said they are not concerned with people being offended because they maintain the Bible is likewise offensive.

"I think we recognize that it might upset some people, but the Bible upsets many, many non-believers, especially when it's being pushed in the public schools," he added.

People on the Internet have expressed their disgust with the pamphlet. "That picture is a sickening misrepresentation of the Bible and is just another case of persecution," one person commented.

"Can this anti-christian foundation confirm any of their accusations from reading the New Testament of the Bible? No!," another person wrote, "Other than violence thrown upon Jesus of Nazareth and Christians who follow the Prince of Peace, an honest reader of the Gospels and Epistles can not find any of these lies given from FFRF."
