Frank Ocean Tears Vocal Chord, Forced to Cancel Australian Tour Dates (VIDEO)

Frank Ocean was enjoying his first run of dates in Australia when his voice abruptly put things to a stop.

Ocean was playing at Melbourne's Festival Hall last night and even mentioned to the crowd, "I'm sick... I don't know if you care." He finished the show, but after getting his voice looked it, it was serious enough to put him on rest.

Ocean's team released a statement saying, "After last night's concert in Melbourne at Festival Hall, it was necessary to seek medical advice due to vocal issues Frank Ocean experienced during the show. It has subsequently been confirmed that Frank has suffered a small tear to one of his vocal chords and has received medical advice that he must rest his voice. This makes the completion of his remaining Australian dates impossible."

It went on to say, "Unfortunately due to Frank Ocean's tight tour schedule it is not possible to schedule replacement dates, however we will be working to confirm a return to Australia as soon as is practical."

The popular singer was to perform again tonight (July 26) at Melbourne's Festival Hall, Sunday (July 28) at Byron Bay's Splendour In The Grass Festival and Sydney's Hordern Pavilion on July 29-30th. Unfortunately all of these dates have been cancelled with no replacement dates as of now.

According so his statement, Ocean will be back eventually to make up the shows and play for his fans in Australia again when possible.
