For King & Country with Moriah Peters, Talk New Album and Chivalry at K-LOVE Fan Awards 2014 (VIDEO INTERVIEW)

For King & Country stopped by to chat with BreatheCast at the K-LOVE Fan Awards 2014, and the two brothers Joel and Luke Smallbone described their excitement about the night, their wives, and being men of God to their spouses.

Joel was there with his wife, singer Moriah Peters. He was questioned about a talk he had the night before on treating women with respect and love. Joel said it's something the band strongly believes in.

"Well, I think the fabric of culture, Christian or non-Christian, is based on the functionality of the family and so Luke and I, we're very fortunate, we're two of seven kids, our parents are 37 years in marriage, still love one another deeply," he said.

Continuing, "We know that's not often the case so we have sort of taken it upon ourselves in For King & Country to speak about a woman's worth, and if she's with a guy that's not treating her well she needs to kind of kick him to the curb so to speak. And to us men first and foremost, we need to say it's time for us to step up and standout. Chivalry is not dead, let's treat ladies as they deserve to be treated, with respect and honor."

Luke was there with his wife Courtney, who joked about her talent being "birthing babies." However, Joel hinted she may have a small vocal feature on the next album.

Moriah, who's one album is called, I Choose Jesus, said she has another one coming this summer. "A new record in July, and Joel was the co-producer of that record."

Luke chimed in and spoke of the new For King & Country record as well, "Well, we have a new album coming out September 16, that's going to be a lot of fun. A lot of work and ramping up still to go. We probably need to finish the songs that are meant to be on the album pretty soon because it's coming," he joked.

"It's a pleasure to be here in front of all the fans and everything tonight. It'll be a lot of fun," he continued as he made a comment on the weekend's festivities.

For King & Country released their first album in 2012, Crave, which helped them win a Dove Award for "New Artist of the Year." They are the younger brothers of popular Christian singer Rebecca St. James.
