The end of [Fast &] "Furious 7" saw a touching scene that paid tribute to Paul Walker. The actor had been the lead character in the movies since the first installment, but was killed in a car crash in 2013. His brothers, Caleb and Cody, worked as doubles to facilitate the completion of the 7th installment. According to reports, Paul Walker's character will return to the franchise again for its 8th installment, dubbed "Fast 8."
Paul Walker's brothers Caleb and Cody revealed in their interview with Entertainment Tonight that future installments of "Furious" might again feature the character of their departed brother.
"I had a phone call with Vin [Diesel] for about an hour and we really discussed this a while back. He wanted [our] blessing," Caleb said.
According to Caleb, Diesel asked for the consent of the Walker family if it was fine with them to bring back the character of Paul and let his fans know that he's still out there.
"Universal wants to make sure to be respectful of Paul and his image too, and his family," Cody added.
While the brothers revealed plans to bring back Paul Walker's character, they did not confirm that Brian O'Conner would play out in the upcoming installment.
The brothers also shared that Meadow, Paul's daughter who will be turning 18 this November, is doing a lot better since the tragic accident. To them, Meadow is their most precious treasure in the world, so they are very protective of her.
"Fast 8" is slated to hit theaters on April 14, 2017.
