Family Force 5's 'Let It Be Love' Hits No. 1 on Hot AC/CHR Charts; Switchfoot Inspired Song Continues to Impact [SCHEDULE]

Family Force 5

Family Force 5 gets first No. 1 radio hit on the Hot AC/CHR charts with "Let It Be Love."

The song was nominated for a Dove Award off their No. 1 selling album Time Stands Still in the Rock/Contemporary Song of the Year.

"I was particularly struck by a moment when Jon Foreman spoke to the crowd," said Derek Chap Stique Mount about finding inspiration in a Switchfoot video.

Adding, "He mentioned that there were protesters outside the venue and he said something that I thought was magical to the audience. He encouraged them to remember there was something deeper than disagreement, and there is beauty in connection, in common ground. He also said we have one card to play, and that card is love. This is the sentiment that has served as our inspiration for our song, 'Let It Be Love.' So we wanted to emphasize the incredible, life-giving power of grace. We feel that anytime we face the question, 'what is the right response?' the answer is, 'love.'"

The album was released on August 5, and was the No. 1 best-selling album on the Christian/Gospel Overall and Digital Album, Current Contemporary Christian and Christian Rock/Alternative/Rap overall SoundScan charts while hitting No. 17 on the Overall Digital Albums chart and No. 30 on the Billboard Top 200.

FF5 is on the "We Believe" tour with headliners the Newsboys, and 7eventh Time Down.
