Eminem teased fans with a featuring spot on a new song from 50 Cent, "My Life". Ever since the song surfaces last year, 'Slim Shady' fans have been begging for a new album.
While some reports claim May 28 [the day after Memorial Day] as the release date for Em's new record, a Detroit radio station recently leaked July 2. Either way we can most likely expect a new album around middle of 2013.
Though a release date is unconfirmed, some European tour dates [August 15-25] have been announced, wrapping up at the 2013 Reading Festival [August 23-25]. Other festival headliners include Green Day, Fall Out Boy, Nine Inch Nails, Skrillex and Biffy Clyro.
Kendrick Lamar and Tyler the Creator are also rumored opening acts for Eminem on his 2013 tour. 50 Cent and Eminem's protégé Skylar Grey are possible candidates as well.
Dr. Dre recently spoke to Power 106 about working Eminem on the new record.
"Em is finishing up his project...And for me, I've just gotten inspired to go back in the studio, so I'm really just having fun with life and having fun being creative and just trying some new and different things with myself."
Later in the interview Dre confessed after 30 long years in the music industry it can be tough to be genuinely inspired. But Eminem's new album is rekindling the legendary producer's love for making records.
Looks like Eminem and Shady Records is poised to have an incredible year! How thrilled are you to hear Eminem's new record?
