Eminem New Album 2013 Release Date TODAY: "MMLP2" is Mission Statement and NOT a Sequel to "MMLP" [VIDEO]

Eminem's new album "MMLP2" was released today on Aftermath Records to critical and commercial acclaim. The album features songs like "Rap God" that have fans raving about how Eminem's talent has grown with age. Many critics agree that "MMLP2" lives up to the massive hype preceding it, and also cements Eminem's image as one of the most successful entertainers of this generation.

Eminem worked with legendary producer Rick Rubin, who has worked with artists such as Beastie Boys, Run DMC, Jay Z and The Red Hot Chili Peppers in the past. Kyle Emina from DailyTrojan.com wrote, "Rubin's influence was immediately evident on the album's lead single 'Berzerk.' Produced by Rubin, the beat features retro-sounding drums and old-school disc jockey scratches supplemented by rough electric guitar, not to mention samples from the Beastie Boys' classic hit 'Fight for your Right.' Eminem's aggressive rapping style complements the hard-hitting beat perfectly, and though the song might not be every listener's favorite, it sets an interesting tone for much of the album."

It is interesting to see Eminem's growth from "MMLP" to "MMLP2" because so many things have happened to him in between the two albums. For example, he has taken back many of the negative things that he said about his mother when he was first achieving musical success. The song "Headlights" touches on his regret that he didn't treat his mother differently and how much he hates the song "Cleaning Out My Closet" that talks about his mother.
