Duck Dynasty's Missy Robertson Defends Her Christian Faith After Surviving 'Spiritual Warfare' From GQ Article (VIDEO)

Duck Dynasty reality star Missy Robertson recently broke her silence regarding the controversy that surrounded her father-in-law, Phil Robertson, in the infamous GQ article.

"If you know anything about Phil Robertson, you know he's not going to be bullied," said Robertson to CNS News, "No, he's not. He's self-assured. A lot of people thought that what he was talking about in that interview was his own opinions. But he was quoting Scripture."

The wife of Jase Robertson further expressed her views regarding the "Duck Commander" founder's statements in the interview.

"He knows the Scriptures so well, he didn't need to go get the Bible and lay it out. He just started quoting. So, that's where I think people were misled, that's just coming out of his mouth as an opinion, but it wasn't," said Robertson.

She also revealed why her family is outspoken about their beliefs despite facing opposition for expressing their views in public.

"A lot of people want to keep us quiet, you know, they don't want that," said Robertson, "But we're not going to be quiet. We just can't. We're not going to be bullied, basically."

She explained why she felt the entire Robertson family was fighting a "spiritual war" when Phil took part in the GQ interview late last year.

"There is spiritual warfare out there, not everyone is Christian. We all know that. But we, hopefully, are trying to show Jesus through love and not judgment and criticism. We don't want to be looked at that way," said Robertson, "Jesus came here, yes, with the sword to make sure that people knew right from wrong. But that's not for us to decide. God is the judge, not us."

Season 6 of the critically acclaimed reality series Duck Dynasty airs Wednesday at 10:00 p.m. EST on the A&E network.
