Duck Dynasty's Phil Robertson Tells Potential 2016 Presidential Candidates 'You Can’t Be Right for America If You’re Wrong With God' (VIDEOS)

At the recent Republican Leadership Conference event, "Duck Dynasty" patriarch Phil Robertson gave some advice to potential GOP candidates who are possibly thinking about running for President in the upcoming election two years from now.

"GOP, you can't be right for America if you're wrong with God," said Robertson to people in attendance on May 29. "You want to turn the Republican Party around? Get Godly."

At the Republican Leadership Conference event, the Duck Commander also poked a joke at himself and the party for being invited to speak at the event.

"I guess the GOP may be more desperate than I thought to call somebody like me," joked Robertson.

On that same day, he went on the Fox News network to interview about politics and religion.

"With me it's all spiritual warfare," said Robertson to Fox News' Sean Hannity on the "Hannity" show. "I'm wanting them to give their life to God Almighty, Jesus his Son, and be saved from their sin - and be saved from the grave one day."

He also expressed his political views to Hannity on the Fox News network last week.

"I took the Democratic platform, and I read it, and I said, one thing for sure, I ain't no Democrat," said Robertson to Hannity in reference when he first chose his political party several decades ago. "I said, well, [The Republican party] don't rip human babies from their mother's womb. They're not endorsing perversion. So I said, you know what, I think I'm a Republican."

Season 6 of the critically acclaimed reality series "Duck Dynasty" returns on the A&E network on Wednesday, June 11 at 10:00 pm EST.
