'Duck Dynasty' Cast: Lisa Robertson Addresses Childhood Sexual Abuse in Book, 'I Want all Abuse Survivors to Know They have Hope'

Lisa Robertson spoke about her new book, and revealed a shocking detail about her childhood; she was molested as a little girl. Lisa is wife of Phil and Miss Kay Robertson's oldest son Alan.

"As a little girl, I had an extended family member who had major drug and alcohol problems. Unfortunately, that person lived with my grandparents, so I had to see him often. Because I spent so much time at my grandparents' house, I was easy prey for him. My earliest memory of being molested was at the age of seven when he started to do things to me, things that made me feel bad and dirty," said Robertson according to a Time Magazine article.

The wives of A&E hit series "Duck Dynasty" recently released a brand new book titled "The Women of Duck Commander: Surprising Insights from the Women Behind the Beards About What Makes This Family Work," where the Robertson wives revealed what is like to be part of the famous Christian family. Family matriarch Miss Kay and her daughter-in-laws Lisa, Jessica, Missy and Korie Robertson revealed multiple issues including some hardships and criticism they faced while growing up, in their new book.

In another article, Lisa Robertson talked about her reasons for revealing her appalling ordeal to the public in the new book.

"I want all abuse survivors to know they have hope," said Robertson to E! News. "They can have hope for complete healing, hope for great relationships, and hope for a wonderful life, free from the lingering effects of the trauma they have suffered."
