'Dexter' Episode 7 Season 8 'Dress Code' Recap & Spoilers on Showtime, Hannah McKay is Taking Over

'Dexter' was back on Showtime tonight with episode 7 of the final season.

Tonight's episode 'Dress Code' focused mostly on the re-emergence of Hannah McKay. Last week's episode ended with Dexter and Deb being drugged and Hannah McKay walking in before the scene ended.

Tonight we find out that Hannah McKay strategically came back to Miami with her new husband, Miles, just to reconnect with Dexter and help her kill her husband.

McKay gives off the impression that she is happily married at first to Dexter, but eventually the truth comes crumbling down.

After her husband found out that she and Dexter and met up to speak, he send a group of guys to beat up Dexter and then he assaults Hannah on his boat. Dexter makes his way on the boat to check on her and walks in to see that Hannah had just killed her husband in self defense.

Dexter's selfishness has been showing again with him choosing his feeling for Hannah over the well-being of his sister Deb. Deb is just starting to get her life back on track but she places a tracker on Dexter's car when she finds out that he and Hannah are talking again.

After Dexter and Hannah dumped the body of Miles out at sea, we see that Deb has followed them to the marina. It is heart-breaking to watch Deb sit there in her car and watch Dexter and Hannah talk. Seeing your brother in love with the woman who has tried to kill you and sent you life spiraling out of control is gut-wrenching to see unfold.

Deb is at a very vulnerable point and we aren't sure that it is going to get any better for her the rest of the season. "Dexter" doesn't really seem like a show that is going to end on a 'happy' note, so Deb if not dead in the end, could still be at a complete low point when the show ends.

Dr. Vogel has not had much face time in the few episodes but her encouragement to Dexter to teach Zach 'the code' has not been going well. Dexter has been trying to take Zach under his wing, but is finding out that being a teacher is not an easy task. Also, Dexter's selfishness is getting in the way again.

After Dexter tells Zach to be patient before he kills, Zach shows up at Dexter's apt (which Dexter told him never to do) and insistently knocks and yells for Dexter. When Dexter does not answer the door (he is not home) Cassidy comes out so see what is going on. She tells Zach that Dexter is not home and he walks away angrily.

The sweet neighbor Cassidy always seemed doomed from the start as she showed interest in Dexter and even approached Deb about it in tonight's episode. Unfortunately, with Dexter taking Zach off of his kill table last week, another innocent person is dead.

We would assume that after Cassidy's death this would stop Dexter 'teaching' Zach and Dexter will kill him for good. But you never know for sure exactly where things will end up.

There are only five episodes left in this final season of Dexter to see how they will tie everything up.
