Demi Lovato New Single "Made in the USA"

Demi Lovato has just released her newest music video for her song, "Made in the USA" which is on her newest Demi album.

Lovato originally didn't want to be shown at all in the new video, which she co-directed alongside Ryan Pallotta. The video is based on a couple who has the guy sent off to war and the struggles that ensue as a result of that. The couple is played by "Friday Night Lights" actress Aimee Teegarden and "90210" actor Dustin Milligan.

The new single, "Made in the USA" already has almost 5.5 million views and it was just posted Wednesday.

"When he was fighting in Afghanistan, the shots are really close up on his face, and he is hiding behind something, and he is fully loaded, and he's in the middle of a war, and it was really great," Lovato said. "Dustin is such a good actor, and he was crying, and there were bombs going off and everything. That was just the coolest scene because that scene looks like it's from a movie, so I was really excited." (via mtv.com)

Lovato hopes to eventually direct music videos for other artists as well in the future.  She spoke about how the moment when the couple had to be reunited and the scene had to be just right.

"That shot really had everyone's attention, and if it doesn't come across the right way, it takes the emotion out of it. I really wanted to draw emotion from people, so I'm really, really glad it turned out the way it did," Lovato explained. "Because my mom cried, my sister cried, and I was like, 'Yes!'
