Duck Dynasty's Phil Robertson Invited to Attend Pennsylvania Second Amendment Action Day 'Pennsylvanians Support His Principled Stances'

State Rep. Daryl Metcalfe has invited Duck Dynasty's star Phil Robertson to attend the keynote speaker at the Pennsylvania Second Amendment Action Day on April 29.

"The battle against the radical liberal agenda in Pennsylvania includes protecting our Second Amendment rights and protecting traditional family values," said Metcalfe, a Republican from Cranberry Township. "My primary reason for inviting Phil Robertson to headline this year's Second Amendment Action Day is because many Pennsylvanians recognize his leadership and support his uncompromising and principled stances on these issues."

Robertson stars in the reality TV show titled "Duck Dynasty." A&E suspended, and then reversed its decision in December 2013 following comments he made in a GQ magazine interview.

"Don't be deceived. Neither the adulterers, the idolaters, the male prostitutes, the homosexual offenders, the greedy, the drunkards, the slanderers, the swindlers-they won't inherit the kingdom of God. Don't deceive yourself. It's not right," said Robertson when he paraphrases the Bible in last year's GQ magazine interview.

The Duck Dynasty founder also mentioned in the same interview his views on what he felt was appropriate for men and woman to be attracted to.

"It seems like, to me, a [expletive] as a man-would be more desirable than a man's [expletive]. That's just me. I'm just thinking: There's more there! She's got more to offer. I mean, come on, dudes! You know what I'm saying? But hey, sin: It's not logical, my man. It's just not logical," said Robertson in the GQ article issue 2 months ago.

Second Amendment Day will be held on Tuesday April 29 at 10 a.m. on the State Capitol steps in Harrisburg. The annual event began in 2006 and draws around 70 state lawmakers and hundreds of citizens who defends the right to bear arms.

The critically acclaimed reality series Duck Dynasty airs on the A&E network on Wednesdays at 10pm EST.
