Daft Punk New Album, 2013 Tour: "Get Lucky" Single Goes #1 Around the World / Random Access Memories, Pharell Williams and More [VIDEO]

Daft Punk will be releasing their highly anticipated new album, Random Access Memories May 21st. The first single off the new album, "Get Lucky" is #1 in the U.K. and already breaking Spotify records. Daft Punk have been teasing fans with a clip of the song on SNL promos and before the Yeah Yeah Yeah set at Coachella 2013.

Daft Punk's Random Access Memories features contributions from American musician Nile Rodgers and N.E.R.D. founder Pharell Williams. After a recent performance in Brooklyn, the French-dup praised Pharell as "a born performer" who exudes "a lot of elegance" on stage.

House producer Todd Edwards, Animal Collective's Panda Bear, and guest vocals from Strokes frontman Julian Casablancas are also rumored to be featured on Random Access Memories.

Fans of Daft Punk's signature heavy electronic sound may be in for a surprise with the new album. The band is steering away from drum machines and vocal synths, opting for a much more human sounding album.

"There's this thing today where the recorded human voice is processed to try to feel robotic," Thomas says, referring to the undying AutoTune vogue. "Here, we were trying to make robotic voices sound the most human they've ever sounded, in terms of expressivity and emotion."

Daft Punk's Random Access Memories is scheduled for a May 21 release via Columbia Records.
