Christian Tennessee Teen Kendra Turner Suspended From High School After Saying 'Bless You' to Classmate (VIDEO)

Kendra Turner was suspended from her high school after she told her fellow classmate 'Bless You' after that pupil sneezed in class.

"She said that we're not going to have godly speaking in her class and that's when I said we have a Constitutional right," said Turner, according to a WJLA report.

Turner is currently a senior at Dyer County High School where the following words are also banned from the classroom: "dumb," "boring," "stuff," "hang out," "my bad," "stupid," and "I don't know."

In addition, Turner recently went on social media to further discuss her horrible ordeal at school.

"I stood up and said, 'My pastor said I have a constitutional right - 1st amendment freedom of speech,'" wrote Kendra on Facebook." She said, 'Not in my class you don't."

Turner's youth Pastor Becky Winegardner also broke her silence in regards to teen's school suspension. "There were several students who were talking about this particular faculty member there that was very demeaning to them in regard to their faith," said Winegardner.

"This was something that had come up previously in the last few weeks just since the beginning of school and I shared with all of those students what their rights were."

The school leaders allege that Turner saying "Bless You" disrupted the classroom and broke the teacher's strict no talking in class policy.

"We can't discuss discipline issues because of right to privacy of students," said Assistant Principal Lynn Garner to the Dyersburg Gazette, "But I can say there are two sides to every story. Sometimes people spin things and turn them to make them seem one way."

As a result, some of her classmates wore "Bless You" on August 19 to show solidarity to their classmate who is being persecuted for her religious views. Turner's parents had to come to the school to resolve the situation involving Kendra.

"It's alright to defend God and it's our constitutional right because we have a freedom of religion and freedom of speech," said Turner.
