Christian Singer Natalie Grant Fights Online Impersonators Trying to Accept Donations on Her Behalf 'This Is Not Me' [SEE HERE]

Natalie Grant

Popular contemporary artist Natalie Grant was notified that someone created a fake Facebook account impersonating her and was asking for donations. The singer pleaded with her followers not to fall for it and explained how they could help her track these con-artists down.

"PLEASE PLEASE read this," Grant urged her followers with in a Facebook message, "I've been informed there is someone impersonating me, sending friend requests and asking people to donate to an orphanage."

A seemly frantic Grant continued, "THIS IS NOT ME. Please do not respond. If you've received anything like this, can you let me know if the message came with a blue check by my picture?"

Grant has a verified Facebook account and was not sure if these imposter accounts were even able to mock the verified check that appears next to her name on her profile. "I'm a 'verified' facebook page," she went on to write, "Anything you ever receive from me will have a blue check by my picture. Furthermore, my page can't make 'friend requests'. Only personal pages can do that."

The "Hurricane" singer and her team are being proactive and are on the hunt to shut these imposters down. Many popular evangelical and Christian artists become targets of scam like these because of all of the humanitarian work the actual people are involved in. Nevertheless Grant ended her post by stating that these kinds of instances really upset her.

"It makes me so sad this kind of thing exists and that people are trying to take advantage of you, my sweet and generous friends. We are working to correct it," she concluded.
