Christian Music's Best Gather for The FEST; Event Features Third Day, Mandisa, Colton Dixon, and More (DETAILS/INFO)

Some of Christian music's best will be playing the FEST in Wickliffe, Ohio on August 3, the event's 14th consecutive year. Included in this year's festival is Mandisa, Colton Dixon, For King and Country, and Third Day.

According to NewsNet5, the event anticipates that over 38,000 people will be there for the free event that begins at 12:00 pm and goes until 10:00 pm. It will also feature over 150 games and activities to participate in. There will be fireworks at 8:00 pm and a Catholic Mass.

"We love playing events like The FEST because we are music fans first and foremost," said Mark Lee, guitarist of Third Day in a press release, "It is a huge honor to share the stage with other artists we love, such as Colton and Mandisa. Music is such a powerful part of faith. It provides a direct connection to the heart, so you're able to communicate and reach people in a way that you can't through any other means."

The theme of this year's event is "overcoming adversity" and they will be working with Project CHOSEN and Project OVERCOMER. The first organization supports orphan children from the Congo, and the second celebrates people who have moved past struggles, whether it be sickness or other issues.

"We are excited to welcome such talented musicians to our stage this year to celebrate faith and family," said Father Bob Stec, in a press release, "This year's theme is 'CHOSEN,' to represent God choosing us to make our world a better place."

The FEST is run by Father Bob Stec, and it began in 2000, and invovles close to 1,500 volunteers.
