Cheri Keaggy Shares Message of Healing For Christian Women In Media

Dove Award-winning singer/songwriter Cheri Keaggy was recently featured as the keynote speaker at the quarterly meeting of the Southeast/Nashville Regional chapter of Christian Women In Media Association (CWIMA), where she spoke and performed songs from her new CD, So I Can Tell, for members of the professional association.

"I had a great night at the Christian Women In Media gathering," Keaggy says. "I was blessed to share my testimony and give a challenge to fellow communicators. Someone recently asked me for my mission statement and I realized I didn't have one, even after 20 years in ministry! I suppose I had been too busy 'missioning' to stop and write a mission statement. So I have now done that and I challenged each of the women in the room that night to take some time to write one, too."

Author and freelance writer Paula Parker, a nationally recognized playwright for her acclaimed stage adaptation of Jane Austen's Pride & Prejudice and Sense & Sensibility, was also a featured speaker who presented on the topic of "Shameless Self-Promotion."

"It was a wonderful night at the CWIMA meeting," says Monica Schmelter, producer and host of Christian Television Network's (CTN) Bridges and the Southeast/Nashville Regional Director of CWIMA. "Having Cheri Keaggy as our keynote speaker was the highlight of the evening. Her message and songs brought healing and inspiration to all of us."
