Candace Cameron Bure Named in People Magazine's 50 Most Beautiful Women; Called 'The Unlikely Rebel' because of Her Faith

Christian actress Candace Cameron Bure continues to break the stigma of Christians in Hollywood by gracing the pages of the 2014 People Magazine's 50 most beautiful people edition.

The former "Full House" actress kicked off 2014 with highly publicized media scrutiny surrounding her book "Balancing It All," for discussing taking a "submissive" role to her husband, former hockey player Valeri Bure. Bure tastefully handled it and defended his wife, sticking to a Biblical foundation.

Mother of three, Bure, then joined the cast of "Dancing With the Stars" and is a fan favorite despite not being ashamed to express her modest position on the dance show. The actress maintained she would make a stand when it comes to sexy dances and wardrobe.

"I'm a Christian, my life revolves around my relationship with Jesus Christ. So with the overall tone of the dance, with the costumes I'm not going to take a back seat my voice will definitely be heard," Bure told the cameras on week 2 of DWTS.

This week, the busy performer was named amongst some of the biggest names in Hollywood as one of the most beautiful women in the world according to People Magazine.

The magazine named Bure "an unlikely rebel." The actress said, "I used to think, 'I am a good person, so why do I need God?'" She continued in an interview, "But then I started understanding the Bible, and it opened my eyes."

The magazine credits her enlightenment to finding "religion," but Bure's fans on social media stated they know the actress accredits everything to having a relationship with Jesus and not religion.

Bure has been lingering toward the bottom of the "Dancing With the Stars" competition because the judges have continued to give her low scores due to the fact they want to see more sex appeal, but her fan votes have kept her week after week.

With news of the magazine article, the fans continued to show her encouragement. Many said she was honored in the spread because of the light that emanates from within her.

"Nothing quite like the beauty of holiness!," one comment read. "True beauty begins with a love for Jesus Christ... That's why you are so beautiful- His love shines through you," someone else added.

"People see the light of Christ in you," another agreed, and someone else said, "What a positive role model for young women. Your faith brings out everything beautiful about you."
