'Call of Duty: Black Ops 3' DLC Release Date News: Game Adds New Playable Mercenary Character

Along with the release dates for Activision's "Call of Duty: Black Ops 3," it is also revealed that players can have access to the new playable character in the game.

Gamers can activate the Black Market vendor himself, Blackjack, Express UK has learned. As per the publication, Blackjack is the most recent playable character for a restricted gameplay time. As a mercenary, the character is capable of connecting to various talents like accessing the weapon of the Specialist. Also, he can trigger a random ability from his Special deck at a very fast rate.

It is further revealed the Blackjack can be hired for 60 minutes after a Mercenary Contract opens up following the completion of two Weekly Contracts.

In other news, Activision has provided details on the release of its two upcoming DLCs for "Call of Duty: Black Ops 3." According to Hall of Fame Magazine, these are Map Pack 3 for PlayStation 4 on June 21 and Map Pack 4 for PlayStation 4 on Aug. 23 and for the Xbox One and PC on Sept. 22. The exact names for both DLCs are yet to be revealed.

Map Pack 3 is set to follow Map Pack 1 (Awakening) and Map Pack 2 (Eclipse), which were released for the PlayStation 4 in February and April, respectively, and for the Xbox One and Microsoft Windows in March and May, respectively.

Along with the aforementioned details, "Call of Duty: Black Ops 3" also includes custom games leaderboards, which allow players to track their status from the Custom Games. This shall determine their activities over a certain number of games they played.

Overall, "Call of Duty: Black Ops 3" is set to arrive on the PlayStation 4 on June 21.
