'Blade 4' Cast News and Rumors: Wesley Snipes Returns to Film Franchise, Marvel Studios Revokes Rights

In a recent interview with Wesley Snipes, the actor revealed that he'd be interested in returning to the 'Blade' movie franchise as the lead role once again. While no release date for 'Blade 4' has been announced as of yet, the installment is reported to be in the works.

Wesley Snipes took part in an interview recently with MTV, where he was asked about his interest in returning to the 'Blade' franchise.

Snipes said, "Yeah, I'd be open to it. I think we've got some stones left unturned, and there's some latitude for us to build on. I'd love to get back in the suit again and do some things that I've learned how to do now, that I didn't know how to do then. I think we're better at making that kind of a film now."

Beyond that, New York Daily News reports that if Snipes takes the role of the main protagonist, Blade, he's going to be compensated a hefty sum some for his contribution. Apparently, Snipes stands to make $3 million for a fourth installment to the 'Blade' franchise.

However, since it's been so long since a 'Blade' movie has been produced, the rights to the character have been revoked back to where they originated, Marvel Studios.

Since, Marvel Studios is known for their long-winded negotiations when it comes to multi-movie deals, it does not seem likely that Snipes went ahead and signed a contract already.

Regardless, there's still a good chance that Marvel Studios will go ahead and give the revival of 'Blade' a green light.

Again, as there is no release date for 'Blade 4' yet, fans can only hope to hear about an announcement, including the part where it's mentioned that Wesley Snipes will return to reprise one of his most famous roles.
