'Black Mirror' Season 3 News: Netflix Releases First Images Of The Upcoming Season Cast

Two months ahead of its October premiere, "Black Mirror" has released the first images of the upcoming season 3.

The photos feature Gugu Mbatha-Raw, Mackenzie Davis and Bryce Dallas Howard and are taken from two of the new season's episodes. One episode is directed by Owen Harris while the other is by Joe Wright.

In one of the images, a glammed-up Mbatha-Raw is shown sitting beside Davis, who is donning a striped sweater and collar shirt. The image is from the 80's-themed episode titled "San Junipero," directed by Harris.

The other image shows Davis all by himself, standing in an alley.

Back in January, Netflix announced at the Television Critics Association (TCA) that Bmatha-Raw and Davis had been cast to play the lead roles.

Meanwhile, the two photos from the episode directed by Joe Wright titled "Nosedive," show Howard in deep thought while holding her cellphone.

Earlier this year, executive producers Charlie Brooker and Annabel Jones announced that they had partnered with Rashida Jones, Dan Trachtenberg and Mike Schur to write a few episodes for the upcoming season. Schur and Jones co-wrote one episode while Trachtenberg wrote another on his own.

"Black Mirror" is a sci-fi anthology series based on a British series with the same title. It featured Jon Hamm of "Mad Men" in its Christmas special that was aired in December, 2014.

Jerome Flynn and Kelly MacDonald have been confirmed to join the cast of the upcoming season.

"Black Mirror" season 3 is scheduled to premiere on Oct. 21 on Netflix.
