Although Taylor Swift took home the majority of the awards last night at the 2015 Billboard Awards, there were some categories the pop star and her tunes were not included in. The Categories for "top Christian" where given to a variety of artists including a rapper breaking into the mainstream, a mega super star in country and pop music, and a band that is changing the face of Christian worship.

The Billboard Award for Top Christian Song went to one of American Idol's top stars, Carrie Underwood for her song "Something in the Water." The song was a crossover success and really helped believers and unbelievers alike look at baptism in a new way. Her music video was seen over 12 million times and dominated at the top off the Billboard charts.

The honor for Top Christian Artist went to the popular worship band Hillsong United.

Hillsong UNITED recently announced their new album EMPIRES will release on May 26. Although not release yet Empire already has reached the Top 10 on the overall iTunes Albums chart and No.1 on the Christian & Gospel chart. UNITED are one of the highest followed on social media in their genre and continue to appeal to people in the faith and otherwise. Their song "Oceans" was recently featured on the hit television show 'The Voice' as sung by Deanna Johnson.

The Top Christian Album award went to Reach Records founder and breakout artist Lecrae for his latest album, Anomaly. Anomaly reached No. 1 on the Hip-Hop Billboard charts despite his Christian Content. The Texas native was also featured on countless mainstream outlets after the success of his album and played to sold-out crowds on his 'Anomaly Tour'. He is now gearing up to release a book titled 'Unashamed' in the near future and will continue to boldly spread the message of Christ.
