Unconfirmed rumors circulating on news reports and online blogs are claiming that superstar couple, Beyonce Knowles and Jay Z, could be on the verge of divorce.

Although the rumors are unsubstantiated and the cause of the alleged difficulties are even less confirmed, reports are claiming that issues could include infidelity as well as family tensions.

The rumors appear to have started following Solange Knowles' physical attack on Jay-Z recently. Solange, the sister of the former Destiny's Child member, was seen in a leaked elevator video trying to kick and punch Jay-Z

Stemming from that incident, some rumors are now speculating that Solange was protecting Beyonce against her husband, and that she was unhappy with how he was treating his sister.

Despite the new divorce rumors, Beyonce and Jay-Z have been spotted together publicly since the elevator incident, and were laughing and joking attending an NBA basketball game together.

The happy faces have not stopped rumors of marital troubles though, and an alleged anonymous source has told OK! Magazine: "Jay and Bey go to public events and put on a front that they're happily married, but they haven't been happy for a while.  In fact, they've been on the verge of divorce for the last year.  [Bey] says [Jay Z] is the most selfish person she knows.  Solange has always been suspicious of Jay.  She didn't like that he'd spent a lot of time at the party talking to [his ex]."

To put an end to any rumors about family troubles, Beyonce released a statement claiming that any tension between Solange and Jay-Z and herself had already been pacified. 

"The reports of Solange being intoxicated or displaying erratic behavior throughout that evening are simply false.  At the end of the day, families have problems and we're no different.  We love each other and above all we are family. We've put this behind us and hope everyone else will do the same."
