BET Awards Adds Tamela Mann To Live Show

Acclaimed Actress, NAACP Image Award Nominee, GRAMMY® Award Nominee and Dove Award-Winning Singer TAMELA MANN is added to the epic lineup of performers for BET Awards '13 live in Los Angeles from the Nokia Theatre L.A. Live on Sunday, June 30. The 2013 BET Awards' Best Gospel Artist nominee will perform her #1 smash hit "Take Me To The King" with the song's writer and producer, gospel superstar Kirk Franklin. 

"'Take Me To The King' is one of those songs that sticks with people and helps them have a personal moment with God," said Tamela. "I'm honored that BET has given me an opportunity to share this song with a wider audience. I pray that the song will speak to someone for the first time."

The show also includes stellar performances by Mariah Carey, R. Kelly, Nicki Minaj, Miguel, India.Arie, Ciara, Chris Brown, Kendrick Lamar, T.I., Robin Thicke, Justin Timberlake, Janelle Monáe, Snoop Dogg, Stevie Wonder, and Erykah Badu. Angela Bassett, Gabrielle Union, Paula Patton and La La Anthony are among the talented line-up of presenters. Miami Heat basketball star Dwyane Wade will be honored with the Humanitarian Award presented by State Farm, and R&B singer/songwriter Charlie Wilson will receive the prestigious Cadillac Lifetime Achievement Award.
