'Battlefield 1: Giant's Shadow' Release Date Update: Free DLC Arriving On December 20

A major "Battlefield 1: Giant's Shadow" update is here, as it introduced some changes in weapons, vehicles, armament and gameplay.

"With a massive crashed airship casting its shadow onto the battlefield, Giant's Shadow brings fierce combat on the open ground and river banks alongside the Cateau-Wassigny railway," the website said. "British forces have broken through the Hindenburg line and are heading towards a strategic railway center. The outcome is uncertain. An armored train can still turn the tide.'

According to patch notes on "Battlefield 1: Giant's Shadow" update, there would now be a spectator mode which will allow players to observe a live match. They can then switch from first person and third person POV. They can also get a bird's eye view or opt for Free Cam mode that will allow them to sweep through the battlefield.

"With Giant's Shadow comes the Grenade Crossbow, a powerful addition to the Support class's arsenal," the BF1 website added. "Based on one of many unique contraptions from the Great War, this gadget can silently fire two grenades of either the Fragmentation or High Explosive variety."

There are also some minor tweaks in the gameplay such as cutting the amount of health restored in repairing Heavy Tank from 30% to 20%, for instance. It also reduced the damage of case shells when hitting planes by 50%. The stationary AA range was also cut from 400m to 334m, stabilized damage of plane rockets against the other planes, and also boosted the Bomber Killer MG damage by three percent.
