Batman vs Superman Movie Cast Rumors, Plot Update: Matt Damon Talks Aquaman Rumors, Ben Affleck Batsuit Costume for Man of Steel 2

The widely rumored and anticipated sequel to the upcoming "Man of Steel" movie - Batman vs Superman - is one of the most exciting movies in development for superhero movie fans. Recently Ben Affleck's close friend Matt Damon addressed rumors of him joining the all-star cast.

"The Bourne Ultimatum" actor has been linked by reports to play original Justice League member, Aquaman. He was previously linked to possibly playing Batman's sidekick Robin, although he quickly moved to debunk those rumors.

"Since they made Ben Batman, I've been showing up at his house every day dressed as Robin, but my little campaign I don't think has gone too well so far. If dressing up in yellow tights somehow moved the needle on this issue, I would be willing to do that," joked Damon to CNBC Meets in an interview, trying to defuse the rumors. "I've done sillier stuff."

"I'm a little older than Ben," said Damon to People Magazine previously. "I never saw Robin as older than Batman."

Damon also talked about seeing a photoshopped picture of him as the Boy Wonder alongside Affleck as the Caped Crusader.

"It was really funny," said Damon. "But it's safe to say I won't be Robin."

However, the 43-year-old actor did reveal that he saw the brand new Batsuit costume that will be worn by his "Good Will Hunting" co-star Ben Affleck.

"I have seen a picture. It's excellent," said Damon to MTV News in reference to Affleck's new wardrobe, at the "Monuments Men" red carpet event. "And I've talked to him about the story line, and it's great."

The upcoming "Batman vs Superman" film stars Henry Cavill (Clark Kent aka Superman), Amy Adams (Lois Lane), Laurence Fishburne (Perry White) and Diane Lane (Martha Kent).

In addition, new actors will also appear in the new Warner Bros. film, including Ben Affleck as Batman, Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman, Ray Fisher as Cyborg, Jeremy Irons as Alfred Pennyworth and Jesse Eisenberg as Lex Luthor.

The "Batman vs. Superman" movie will appear in theaters on May 6, 2016. The "Justice League" film is rumored to appear in theaters on May 5, 2017.
