'Bates Motel' has been running on the air for two years now and has attained a fan base of over two million American viewers. On that note, the producers of the show have decided to renew the psycho series for a Season 3.

Showrunners are predicting an equal, if not better, turnout for the premiere of the upcoming third season.
Season 2 debuted to three million live viewers.

A&E Network will continue airing the popular series, exclusively. The second season ended with a change in the major characters of the show, where Norman (Freddie Highmore) internalized with his mother Norma (Vera Farmiga) and could deposit his grief and sorrow in her. However, the plot of the third season has yet to be revealed by the writer or director.

According to Highmore, he is not sure if the characters, Norma and Norman, are going to survive without each other. He went on to say that the third season of 'Bates Motel' is moving closely into the psycho territory. As of now, it is rumored that Bradley will be included in this new season, which will start its production sometime in October 2014.

'Bates Motel' is a psychological thriller and according to David McKillop, one of the producers, it is one of the most unique shows on television. The premiere of Season 3 is going to happen sometime in March 2015.
