Bates Motel Season 2 update!

Emerging details out of Bates Motel camp, is that the popular "Psycho" prequel is adding two new characters to its Season 2 cast.

Grey's Anatomy serial killer [really there was a serial killer plot at one point?] Michael O'Neill and original 90210 star Kathleen Robertson will be joining the cast and crew for the show's sophomore season.

A former serial killer and 90210 actress coming to White Pine Bay? Norman suddenly seems a lot less dramatic.

According to TV Line, O'Neill [NCIS, The Unit, Rectify] will play Miss Watson's father, Nick. Nick is described as "a smart and potentially ruthless charmer who is mourning the grisly death of his daughter and [he] sets out to exact revenge on the perp responsible."

In the same report, Robertson is allegedly joining the Bates Motel Season 2 cast as a businesswoman named Jodi.

Jodi is described as ""a natural born leader who gets what she wants - personally and professionally - and she's not afraid to use her arsenal of brains, charm and creativity to make things happen."

Also new to the Season 2 cast is Kenny Johnson [Norma's distant brother Caleb], Michael Vartan [Norma's new flame] and Rebecca Creskoff [Christine, Norma's first female pal].

Bates Motel Season 2 is set to premiere some time in 2014 on A&E.
