'Bad Judge' Premiere Date, Spoilers: New Law Comedy Show Airs on NBC Oct. 2, Watch Trailer [VIDEO]

'Bad Judge', a new law oriented comedy series, is all set to premiere on Thursday, Oct. 2, at 8.00 pm on NBC. From the pilot of the premiere show, it appears that the new series will not only be funny, but also full of dramatic seat clinging moments.

The pilot of the 'Bad Judge' premiere offers a brief description of the show and the official synopsis reads, "Rebecca Wright (Kate Walsh) knows how to have a good time, but she also happens to be one of L.A.'s toughest and most respected criminal court judges. She has a reputation for unorthodox behavior in the courtroom, including creative rulings and saying exactly what's on her mind. Her private life, on the other hand, is anything but innocent. While there's no shortage of male admirers who would love to spend time with her, she's not ready to settle down."

It is anticipated that 'Bad Judge' will focus on women and the manner in which they deal with everyday life, and brings into play the idea that one should not always take everything seriously.

Meanwhile, 'Bad Judge' executive producer Anne Heche said during the Summer TV Tour in Hollywood, "She's made unconventional choices and she's unapologetic about them."

Heche went on to say, "(This) is a way to watch a woman live out loud in a way that she's choosing that often women don't get to do. So watching it is kind of this released fantasy like, wow, I want to leave my job sometimes and go home and have a drink and sit back and watch TV, but I have a family. So I go home, and I cook dinner."

Adding, "And there are all these different responsibilities that women have in this world today, and (there are) so many working women. She is a working woman who we are all going to love watching relieve us of our burden by laughing with her."

'Bad Judge' also stars Tone Bell, John Ducey, Ryan Hansen, and Miguel Sandoval, while Chris Parnell, Horatio Sands and Theodore Barnes will feature as guest stars.
